Why Christmas?

Why do we have Christmas?

Humans created the Holiday we call Christmas, but we didn't create the event that birthed the holiday; the Holy Birth of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Ghost, (part of the Holy Trinity), was sent by the Father (the first part of the Holy Trinity) to impregnate Mary,
to create the physical Jesus, (partt of the Holy Trinity, who existed before He came to earth).
Mary, a virgin female, consented to this impregnation.

How did this insemination occur?

This is one of the most delightful articles for me to write, because I get to show how God has done things that seem impossible.

We will set the stage with the creation Adam and Eve.

Genesis 2: 19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam, no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man."

God created the earth and it's living creatures, using DNA patterns that He used to generate different living beings.
God created Adam, then seeing he was lonely, He took a rib and created Eve. Human females are females partly because they have ovaries. And we know that female humans are born, loaded with all the eggs they will release through the fertile phase of their lives.
So, what about Eve? When God created her, did He, at the same time, load Eve's ovaries with all the eggs she would release?

It seems logical to think that. Fine. Then what raw materials did God use to create Eve with, having started with just a rib?
I suspect God pulled the protons, neutrons and electrons from nearby material and built Eve. During this time, He loaded eggs in her ovaries, which include half the chromosomes needed to make a baby.

Now let's move on to Jesus' earthly conception. Luke 1: 26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” 29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” 34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” 35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God."

Fact: Conception requires sperm. Question: Where would God, being non-tangible, get the sperm to impregnate Mary and also get the sperm to Mary's uterus? We assume Mary was ovulating at the time. That means her uterus had acquired her monthly menstrual lining. That's a part of the conception process. Now, not every speck of menstrual lining is needed for a successful pregnancy.
(most women are certain that their bodies produce more lining than is necessary.)

If, when creating Eve, God used surrounding inanimate material to create the eggs He loaded into Eve's ovaries, He could certainly use the protons, neutrons and electrons in Mary's uterine lining to create a teaspoon of Holy semen, with the DNA needed to become the Son of God, the incarnate, Jesus. Both Eve's eggs and the semen in Mary's womb were acts of God, Him loading in half the chromosomes needed for fertility. The creation of Eve's eggs and the Conception of the incarnate Christ in a young woman virgin use the same supernatural science.

Why did God the Father need to send Jesus to us?

Look at how we humans mistreat God. Always altering His image and assassinating His character.
If we all knew what was right, there would only be one religion.

People are like that, and therefore, God has the right to visit His accusers and defend His character.
God is not a frog. God is not the sun. God is not an undefinable mysterious force. He says people were made in his image.
He identifies as thinking Being, not merely a force, like gravity, (which is a consequence of mass, which He created).

Jesus was born, so God could come back to earth and be face-to-face with humans, like he was back in the garden of Eden.
Simple enough.

Can God do that? Yes. But what purposes did His incarnation as Jesus serve?

1) The incarnation of Jesus, the third Presence of God, gave God the opportunity to experience what we experience,
though He already knows everything about everyone.
2) The incarnation of Jesus, demanded that we mere mortals, hear God as He wanted to be heard, not as we wanted to believe
He would speak. Most of Jesus' heated debates, were against religious leaders who misrepresented God in the way
they taught sacred scripture. It still happens today. If everyone truly knew God, there would only be one religion/denomination.
3) Being God incarnate, Jesus accurately taught people about the existance of Satan and demons and how demons are the defeated,
     terrified ones.
4) The teachings of Jesus, shows the power of God available to humans, such as physical healing and deliverance from demons.
This power to deliver others, it dissipates when religious people are more focused on wealth and status than on serving God
     and helping others.
5) Therefore, the incarnation of Jesus, shows a tender side of God, that heavy-handed rules cannot illustrate.
There is a holiness that creates safety for self and for others, but then are religious demonstrations of piety that help no one,
they just burden others and create the opportunity for needless control, which power-hungry humans tend to do.
6) Lastly, the incarnation of Jesus, who was with God the Father from the beginning (Gospel of John, chapter 1) gave God the
opportunity to redeem the souls of those able to repent of their sins, by sending Jesus to hang on the cross as blood-payment
for their sins. For all sins must be paid for; either by the offender spending eternity in hell,
or by the blood Jesus shed on the Cross as payment.  Jesus was the sin-ransom for sinners like me and you.

This, in a nutshell, in why we have Christmas.
Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the world's greatest hero.
If you want to know more about God, investigate, first by reading the New Testament, and by talking to others.
Look on the Internet for a bible-preaching church near you and ask God to help choose a church to visit.
As I wrote this, I prayed for God to help you.
